I was born barely breathing, with my umbilical cord strangling me. Doctors said I’d never walk or talk properly due to brain damage. I was diagnosed with multiple learning disabilities, ADHD, coordination problems, and faced severe spinal deformities—lordosis, scoliosis, kyphosis, and Scheuermann’s disease.
One of my toughest physical battles was with my calves. My gastrocnemius muscle wouldn’t activate—it felt like it didn’t exist. Only my soleus and Achilles tendon worked. This neuromuscular inhibition, caused by my spinal deformities, made every step of building strength incredibly difficult.
But I refused to accept these limitations. Through relentless training, starting from age 12, I learned to rebuild the connection between my mind and muscles. Swimming helped with coordination. Weight training taught me discipline. Every rep was a battle to wake up dormant muscle fibers.
When I lost my basketball scholarship and my biggest love left me, I dropped 25kg of hard-earned muscle. But I built it back. Every single kilogram was proof that the body can adapt, grow, and overcome when you refuse to quit.
Your body might start broken, but with faith, consistency, and the right mindset, you can transform it into something powerful. That’s the truth I live by.
